Does Ella support cart-level or order-level discounts?

Yes. Discount rules are configured in Prompt Management using plain language, no code required. Rules can be written by anyone on your team who knows your pricing logic.


» How to set up an order-level discount rule

Rules are written as plain sentences in the Prompt Management UI. Some examples:

  • "Apply a 10% discount if the total order amount is greater than $10,000."
  • "Apply free shipping if the order total exceeds $5,000."
  • "Apply a 5% discount for customer Harbour Interior Home on all orders over $2,000."

Ella applies the rule automatically at draft time. The discounted total and the original total are both shown on the draft, and the triggering rule is logged on the order so there is always an audit trail.

  • Order-level Rules: Applied to the full cart total
  • Per-line-item Rules: Applied to specific SKUs or product families
  • Per-customer Rules: Scoped to a named customer or customer segment
  • Conflict Detection: If two rules apply to the same order and produce conflicting outcomes, Ella flags the conflict for the rep to resolve before submission

  • Rules are configured per tenant or per customer during onboarding. Your implementation contact can help set them up or update them after go-live.
  • The triggering rule is always logged on the order record, so discounts are fully auditable for finance and compliance reviews.
