If I update a product's unit price, will it change the price on orders that have already been confirmed?
No, updating a product's price in WizCommerce will not affect any orders that have already been confirmed. Confirmed orders are locked at the price that was in place when the order was placed. Only new orders created after the price change will reflect the updated price.
This means you can safely update your prices, for example, to account for tariff changes, without worrying about altering what your customers have already agreed to pay.
» How to update product prices
Option 1: Update directly in WizCommerce
- Go to the Products section in WizCommerce
- Find the product whose price you want to update
- Update the Unit Price and Save
Option 2: Bulk update via spreadsheet If you need to update prices for many products at once:
- Go to Products and export your product data
- Update the prices in the spreadsheet
- Re-import the file
» What about draft orders or quotes?
Draft orders or quotes that haven't been confirmed yet may pick up the new pricing depending on how your account is configured. If you have open quotes or drafts that should retain the old pricing, confirm or lock them before making price changes.
» A quick summary of how pricing works
| Order Status | Affected by price change? |
|---|---|
