PCI Vault lets you securely save your customers’ credit cards when you don’t use WizPay to process payments. Cards are tokenised and stored in PCI Vault, not in WizCommerce, and can be saved against an order or a customer. To turn it on, contact your Customer Success Manager or reach out to our support team at [help@wizcommerce.com](mailto:help@wizcommerce.com). - PCI Vault helps your business stay PCI compliant. Card data is tokenised and stored securely in PCI Vault, not in WizCommerce. - Only authorised users can detokenise a card and view full card details. If you don’t see the eye icon, ask your admin for access. --- ### A. What is PCI Vault PCI Vault is a secure card storage service for businesses that don’t use WizPay to process payments. It lets you save your customers’ credit cards in WizCommerce while staying PCI compliant. Card data is tokenised and stored securely in PCI Vault, not in WizCommerce. ##### **» How it works** 1. You enter the card details in a secure PCI Vault form, either while working on an order or from the customer’s profile. 2. PCI Vault **tokenises** the card, replacing it with a secure reference instead of a raw card number. 3. The card is saved against the customer’s profile and can be used for their future orders. 4. When you are ready to charge the card, an authorised user **detokenises** it to view the full card details. 5. You enter the card details in your ERP or payment processor and charge the card. **Note:** You can save multiple cards per customer and mark one as the default. ##### **» What PCI Vault does not do** - It does not charge cards. Payments are processed in your ERP or payment processor. - It does not send card details to your ERP automatically. Your team views the details in WizCommerce and enters them in the ERP. --- ### B. Save a Card Against an Order Use this option to add a card while you are working on an order. The card is also saved to the order’s customer, so you can use it on that customer’s future orders. ##### **» Add a card while creating the order** 1. Go to **Sales → Orders**, open the draft order, and follow the same steps. ##### **» Add card to a confirmed order** 1. Open the confirmed order you want to add the card to. 2. Save a Card Against a Customer Use this option to save a card to a customer before an order is placed. The card can then be used on that customer’s orders. ##### **» Adding a card to a customer profile** 1. Go to **Payment Instruments** and click **Add Card**. 5. Saving Card at a Glance Both options save the card to the customer. Detokenise a Card When you’re ready to charge a card, detokenise it to view the full card details. You can then enter the details in your ERP or payment processor and charge the card there. ##### **» View card details** 1. Go to **CRM → Customers**. 2. Select the customer from the list. 3. The full card details are now shown. Does WizCommerce store customers’ card details?** **A.** No. PCI Vault tokenises the card as soon as it is entered. The full card details are only shown when an authorised user detokenises the card to charge it. **2. Does PCI Vault charge the card for me?** **A.** No. PCI Vault stores the card securely. To charge it, view the card details and process the payment in your ERP or payment processor. **3. I saved a card on an order. Can I use it on another order?** **A.** Yes, as long as the order is for the same customer. A card saved against an order is also saved to that customer, so it’s available on the customer’s other orders. It isn’t available for other customers. **4. Can the card details be sent to my ERP automatically?** **A.** No. To stay PCI compliant, card details are not pushed to your ERP. Your team views the card details in WizCommerce and enters them in the ERP when charging the card. **5. I use WizPay. Do I need PCI Vault?** **A.** No. PCI Vault is meant for businesses that don’t use WizPay. With WizPay, you can save and charge cards directly in WizCommerce. Why can’t I see the eye icon to view card details?** **A.** Only authorised users can detokenise a card. If you need access, ask your admin.
