What should I do after the trade show is over?
The first 24 to 48 hours after a show are when sync issues, missing leads, and follow-up gaps are easiest to catch and fix. Here is the short checklist to run once the show is over.
» Post-show checklist
- Confirm every order pushed to your ERP. Open the Orders tab and check that each order taken at the show shows a Confirmed status. If anything is still pending, get back on a stable network and let the device finish syncing. Orders saved offline are not lost; they remain queued on the device until they push.
- Turn off Showroom Mode (Admins). Go to Settings > Organisational Settings > User Management > Showroom Mode and switch it off. This restores each rep's standard customer, order, and pricelist permissions automatically.
- Review and follow up on scanned leads. Open Trade Fair Visitors to see every badge captured during the show. Each lead shows the contact details (such as name, company, email, phone, and location) pulled from the badge. Click into a record to review it, or use Export Sheet to download the full list as an Excel file for follow-up campaigns.
- Reach out to leads who didn't place an order at the booth. Use the exported sheet to plan post-show outreach.
- Reconcile new customers. New customer records created offline at the show are now in the customer database. Check the list for typos, duplicates, or missing fields (assigned sales rep, price list, payment terms) and clean up where needed.
- Collect any payments that couldn't be processed at the show. Orders synced to the ERP, but card payments require an internet connection. Use WizPay (if applicable) to collect what is still outstanding.
- Capture lessons learned. Note what worked and what didn't (signal in the booth, sync timing, missing SKUs) so the next show goes more smoothly.
» Tips
- Do not uninstall the WizOrder app right after a show. As long as the offline queue is empty and orders show as Confirmed, you are safe. Uninstalling before sync completes can leave queued data stuck on the device.
- Please note that any data saved during the trade show is stored locally on the user's device and will not be visible to the admin until it has been synced to the ERP.
