Why am I getting an import error with "nan" values in my category export file?
This error is caused by invalid "nan" values in the exported file. When you export the category sheet, some fields like the Priority column may export as "nan" (which stands for Not a Number). If you re-import the file without fixing these values, WizCommerce will reject the import with a validation error.
» How to fix the "nan" error
- Export the category sheet from WizCommerce
- Open the file in a spreadsheet application such as Excel or Google Sheets
- Find the Priority column and replace any cells showing "nan" with a valid number such as 0 or 1
- Find the Image URL column and clear any cells showing "nan", and put a hyphen "-" is you do not any image url.
- In the appropriate column, enter Delete for the categories you want to remove
- Save the file and re-import it

» Things to know before you re-import
Why does "nan" cause an import error? "nan" is a placeholder that spreadsheet applications sometimes generate when a field has no value. WizCommerce does not recognise it as valid data and will reject the import if "nan" appears in a field that expects a number or a blank value.
Check all columns for "nan" before importing, before re-importing, scan the entire file for any remaining "nan" values across all columns. A single invalid cell can cause the whole import to fail.
