Skills are step-by-step instructions WizPilot follows for tasks like researching a customer, preparing for a meeting, or drafting an email. In the Skill Library, you can adjust WizCommerce's built-in skills, create your own, and turn skills on or off for your organization. If you don't see it in the WizPilot side menu, contact your Customer Success Manager. --- ### A. What is the Skill Library? When you ask **WizPilot** to do something like prepare for a customer meeting, it follows a **skill**: a set of instructions describing the steps to take and what the result should look like. The **Skill Library** brings these skills into your hands, so you can tailor WizPilot's output to how your team works. **With the Skill Library, you can:** - Add your own instructions to WizCommerce's built-in skills, for example to change the output format - Create new skills for workflows specific to your business - Turn your custom skills on or off --- ### B. Where to Find the Skill Library Skill Library is in the WizPilot side menu, and only admins can see it. Open it to view all of your organization’s skills as cards, including WizCommerce’s built-in system skills and any custom skills your team has created. 1. Click the **WizPilot** icon in the left navigation bar 2. System Skills, Custom Skills & Skill Status There are two types of skills in the library: | **Type** | **How to spot it** | **Edit** | **Delete** | **Turn on/off** | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | **System skill** | Star icon on the card | Yes, the editable section only | No | No, always active | | **Custom skill** | No star | Yes | Yes | Yes | **WizPilot's system skills are:** - **Customer 360:** Researches a customer using your internal data and external sources - **Meeting Prep:** Prepares you for a customer visit or call - **Email Drafting:** Drafts clear, human-sounding emails - **Map Routing:** Plans a route to meet prospects and existing customers ##### **» Turn a skill on or off** Use the toggle on a custom skill's card to set it to **Active** or **Inactive**. Their toggle and **Delete** button are disabled. --- ### D. Edit a System Skill System skills include core logic that keeps WizPilot’s answers accurate. That logic is protected and can’t be changed, but you can add your own instructions, for example to control how the final output is laid out. 1. A pop-up explains that system skills can’t be fully changed, but that you can add instructions to control the output structure. Enter your instructions and click **Enhance & Review**. 5. These instructions are added to how WizPilot runs this skill. Using **Enhance & Review** formats them so WizPilot can follow them reliably. --- ### E. Create a New Skill Create a skill when your team has a repeatable task you want WizPilot to handle a specific way. Click **+ New Skill** to start. The **Example skill** panel on the right shows a complete sample skill. Click **Start from this** to fill the form with the example, then edit it to fit the skill you want to create. ##### **» Step 1: Name and describe the skill** 1. Enter a **Name** for the skill. As you type, letters are made lowercase and spaces become hyphens, for example “trade show” becomes “trade-show”. Only lowercase letters and hyphens are allowed. 2. Enter a **Description** of what the skill does and when to use it, up to 100 words (1,024 characters). You can use letters, numbers, and basic punctuation. 3. Say what the skill does and the situations it’s for, such as “Use when preparing for an upcoming show, tracking orders and leads at the booth, or drafting post-show outreach to buyers.” ##### **» Step 2: Write the instructions** If you clicked **Start from this**, the instructions are already filled in with the example. Edit them to match your skill. Otherwise, write the instructions under each section: 1. Write the skill's workflow and instructions under each section: | **Section** | **What to include** | | --- | --- | | **Overview** | One or two sentences on what the skill does and when to use it | | **Core Workflow** | Numbered steps WizPilot should follow, including what to do if something goes wrong | | **Examples** | 2 to 4 realistic questions a user might ask, and what WizPilot should do for each | | **External References** | Sources WizPilot should know about and when to use them | | **Final Output Format** | The exact structure or layout of the result | 2. Click **Enhance with WizPilot** to let WizPilot format your instructions into the standard skill format (optional, but recommended). Click **Back** to return to Step 1. 3. Review the preview of your skill. 2. Set the skill to **Active** or **Inactive**. New skills are **Active** by default. 3. Click **Save Skill**. Edit or Delete a Custom Skill ##### **» Edit a custom skill** 1. You can edit existing sections or add new ones. 3. Click **Enhance with WizPilot** to format your changes (optional), or **Cancel** to discard them. 4. On the skill's card, click **Delete**. 2. Why can't I delete or turn off a system skill?** **A.** System skills power WizPilot's core features, like Customer 360 and Meeting Prep, so they always stay active. You can still change how they work by editing their editable section. **2. Why can't I see all of a system skill's instructions when I edit it?** **A.** Part of each system skill holds the logic that keeps WizPilot's answers accurate. That part is protected and hidden. You can add or change instructions in the editable section, and WizPilot follows both. **3. Why did my skill name change as I typed it?** **A.** Skill names are automatically lowercase, and spaces become hyphens. For example, "Trade Show Follow Up" becomes "trade-show-follow-up". Numbers and special characters aren't allowed. **4. What does Enhance with WizPilot do?** **A.** It reorganizes the instructions you wrote into the standard skill format, with clear headings, bullet points, and numbered steps. Review the result before you save. **5. Do I have to use Enhance with WizPilot?** **A.** No. It's optional. It's useful if you've written your instructions as free text and want them tidied into the standard format. **6. What's the difference between making a skill Inactive and deleting it?** **A.** An inactive skill stays in your library and WizPilot doesn't use it until you turn it back on. A deleted skill is removed from your library. **7. Can sales reps create or edit skills?** **A.** No. The Skill Library is available to admins only. The skills you create and edit shape how WizPilot works for your whole organization. **8. How is a skill different from Admin Instructions?** **A.** Admin Instructions are rules and definitions WizPilot follows in every conversation, like how your team defines "booked revenue". A skill is a step-by-step workflow for a specific task, like preparing for a customer meeting. **9. I don't see the Skill Library. What should I do?** **A.** Skill Library is available to admins only, and it must be enabled for your organization.
