How do I fix a failing image upload in (Files) WizOrder?
If you are having trouble uploading images in WizOrder, it is usually one of three things, the image is too large, it is in the wrong format, or the image link is not set up correctly. Here is how to check each one and fix it.
» The image file is too large
WizCommerce has a maximum file size of 5MB per image. If your image is larger than that, the upload will fail.
To fix this, make the image file smaller before uploading. You can use free websites like TinyPNG or Squoosh, just upload your image, they will shrink it for you, and then you download the smaller version and try again.
» The image is in the wrong format
WizCommerce only accepts images saved in these formats: PNG, JPG, or WebP.
If your image is in a different format (for example, a TIFF or SVG file), it will not upload. In that case, save or convert the image to JPG or PNG first, then try uploading again.
» You are uploading images in bulk and it is not working
If you are adding images to multiple products at once using a spreadsheet, each image needs to have a web link (a URL) that anyone can open without needing to log in.
To check if your link works, copy it and paste it into a new private/incognito browser window (this is a special mode where you are not logged into anything, in Chrome, you can open it by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Cmd+Shift+N on Mac). If the image shows up, the link will work. If it does not, you will need to use a different link.
» Things to keep in mind
- Always check the file size and format before uploading to avoid unnecessary errors
- If you are unsure whether your image URLs are publicly accessible, paste them into a browser in an incognito window. If the image loads, the URL will work for import
