I added products in QuickBooks but they haven't appeared in WizCommerce yet - how do I get them synced?

When you add new products in QuickBooks Desktop, they don't appear in WizCommerce instantly. The two systems sync on a schedule, so there's usually a short wait before new products show up. In most cases, you just need to wait for the next sync cycle to run.


» How to fix this

Step 1: Double-check the products in QuickBooks

Before waiting for a sync, make sure the new products are set up correctly in QuickBooks Desktop:

  1. The item has a name and all required fields filled in
  2. The item type is correct (e.g., Inventory Part, Non-Inventory Part)
  3. The item is marked as Active — inactive items will not sync

Step 2: Check that your QuickBooks connection is active

A sync can only run if the QuickBooks Web Connector is running and connected to WizCommerce. If the connection is inactive, products won't sync regardless of the schedule.

  1. Open the QuickBooks Web Connector on your computer
  2. Check that the status for WizCommerce [Your Company Name] shows as Active
  3. If it doesn't, refer to our guide on restoring an inactive QuickBooks connection

Step 3: Wait for the next sync cycle

  1. Syncs between QuickBooks and WizCommerce run on a schedule — typically every 2 hours, though this varies by account. If everything looks correct in QuickBooks and the connection is active, give it until the next sync cycle and check again.

Not sure how often your account syncs? Contact your Customer Success Manager and they'll confirm your specific sync frequency.


» If products still haven't appeared after the next sync

Email help@wizcommerce.com and request a manual sync trigger. Our team can force a sync to run immediately rather than waiting for the next scheduled cycle.


» If you need the products available urgently

You don't have to wait for the sync. You can add the products directly into WizCommerce using the Product Import feature:

  1. Go to the Products section in the WizCommerce Admin Panel
  2. Use the Import option to upload a spreadsheet with the new product details
  3. The products will be available immediately after import

» Tips to avoid delays in the future

  • Add products in QuickBooks well ahead of when you need them in WizCommerce. Don't wait until the last minute before a sales call
  • Keep QuickBooks Desktop open and the Web Connector running at all times during working hours so syncs run on schedule without interruption
  • If a product import is urgent, use the manual import as a backup rather than waiting for the sync
