Why does my product import show a ‘float and str’ error?

This error usually means that one or more cells in a number value column, such as Sale_Price or Base_Price, contain a blank space. The cell looks empty in your spreadsheet, but the import reads the space as a value, and the import can’t complete.

» How to fix it

1. Open your import file.
2. Select the column named in your error check, for example Sale_Price. If you are not sure which column it is, check all the price and quantity columns.
3. Use Find and Replace to replace a single space with nothing:
   • In the Find field, type one space.
   • Leave the Replace field empty.
   • Click Replace All.
4. Save the file and import it again.

• MOQ, IOQ, and Max qty
• The Dealer_ versions of these columns
