What should I do if the WizCommerce app is not working properly?

If the WizOrder app is crashing, freezing, running slowly, showing blank tiles, or getting stuck on sync, it is most often a device memory, app version, or sync issue on that one device, not the platform being down.

Most of these you can fix yourself in a few minutes. Here is what to check before you reach out to us.

» First, protect any unsynced work

Before you reinstall or reset anything, make sure nothing is waiting on your device.

  1. Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network.
  2. Open the app and let it finish syncing. Orders and quotes created offline are queued on the device and push automatically once you reconnect.
  3. Check the Orders page and confirm your offline orders now show as Confirmed.

Note: Deleting or reinstalling the app removes all offline data on that device, including any queued orders that have not synced yet. Always sync first.

» Run the three quick checks

  1. Force close the app completely and reopen it. This clears the memory it was holding.
  2. Test your connection by opening another site or app. If nothing loads, the issue is your network, not WizOrder.
  3. Open the App Store or Play Store and install any pending WizOrder update. Newer versions often fix known issues, and running an outdated one is a common cause of crashes.

Note: If the app works again after a force close but starts failing after a few minutes of use, that points to device memory. Go to the next section.

» If the app crashes, freezes, or quits on its own

This is almost always the device running out of memory, and it shows up most on older tablets carrying a large catalog.

  1. Close every other app running in the background, then reopen WizOrder.
  2. Restart the device. A restart clears memory that a force close does not.
  3. If crashes continue, try the same login on a newer or higher-memory device to confirm whether the device is the issue or not.
  4. If the app still crashes, reach out support at help@wizcommerce.com

Note: Devices with 3 GB of memory or less struggle with large catalogs. If your reps carry tens of thousands of SKUs, a newer tablet with more memory is the reliable fix, not a settings change.

» If the app is slow or stuck on sync

  1. Stay on one network while the sync runs. Moving between access points interrupts it and forces it to restart.
  2. Keep Incremental Sync turned on so the app refreshes a little at a time instead of pulling everything at once.
  3. If the sync never completes, force close the app and reopen it. It resumes from where it stopped rather than starting over.

» If it is still not working, send us the details

Email help@wizcommerce.com with the following so we can investigate quickly:

  • Device and model, for example iPad 9th generation or Samsung Galaxy Tab
  • Operating system version and the WizOrder app version
  • What exactly is failing, the app closing on its own, a frozen screen, a spinner that never ends, or a specific screen that breaks
  • The exact steps you take before it happens, and whether it happens every time
  • Screenshots or a screen recording, which are far more useful than a description
  • Who is affected: one rep, one device, or everyone
  • When it started, and whether it followed an app update, an OS update, or a new device

Note: If it works on one device and fails on another, tell us both. That comparison usually points straight to the cause.

» Good to know

  • Most app problems are local to one device. Confirming whether a colleague on the same login has the issue tells us a lot in one step.
  • Reinstalling often makes the app feel fine for a short while and then degrades again. If that is your pattern, tell us, it is a strong signal, not something to keep repeating.
  • A full platform outage is rare. If the app is down on every device and network, say so up front and we will treat it as urgent.
