Why can’t I edit a confirmed order?

Whether you can edit a confirmed order depends on whether your account is integrated with an ERP, whether the order has synced, and the permissions on your role.

» If your account is integrated with an ERP

Confirmed orders can’t be edited in WizOrder. This keeps your ERP as the single source of truth for orders that have already been pushed.

To update the order, you have two options:

  1. Edit the order directly in your ERP.
  2. Cancel the order in WizOrder and create a new one. Cancel the order, then use Copy Cart to create a new order with the changes you need, and submit it again.

Note: You need permission to cancel a confirmed order. If you don’t see the Cancel Order option, ask your admin to enable it.

» If the order failed to sync to your ERP

If a confirmed order hasn’t synced to your ERP because the sync failed, you can still edit it. For example, you might need to correct a detail that caused the sync to fail, such as the billing address. See How to update a customer’s billing address?

Note: This only applies to orders that haven’t synced. Once an order is in your ERP, it can’t be edited in WizCommerce.

» If your account is not integrated with an ERP

You can edit confirmed orders, as long as your role has permission.

Don’t see the Edit option? Your role may not have permission to edit confirmed orders. Ask your admin to enable it, or reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
